and finally...

After two years in the planning we have finally launched our community beekeeping programme with two top bar hives and two huge colonies of bees safely landed. Here are some pictures of the lovely top bar hives with Helmut balancing the legs.
It was great to get such a big turn out in the pouring rain to see the bees dropped into the hives - and then to have a special glass of honey mead to celebrate!
Its also nice to have bees around again, its been a while!
